About Lizzy (According to AI)

Hello, hi, welcome. Personal bios can be kind of boring and awkward, so I am trying something new. As an experiment, I prompted an Artificial Intelligence copywriting generator with some facts about myself to write my bio for me. I'm pretty delighted at the outcome, so please enjoy AI's summary of my professional life (along with my personal commentary).

AI: Lizzy is a multi-faceted individual who is passionate about learning, creativity, and transformation.

This is mostly true. I have a weird relationship with the word "passionate", but I do have a sustained interest in the things listed above (and a fleeting interest in many other things). This is what led me from creative arts to the field of learning design. How do humans learn? Are there ways I can intervene in the learning process to make it easier, more fun, or more meaningful?

AI: With a Master of Science in Learning Design and Technology (almost) from the University of San Diego and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration, she understands the impact technology can have on our lives.

I guess since I'm using AI to write my bio, this has to be true. Technology is inevitable, ubiquitous, wonderful, and terrifying. It's like a mirror reflecting the conscious collective back to the individual, amplifying the loveliest and ugliest aspects of what it means to be human. I may love technology, but not as much as you, you see.

AI: Her background includes visual arts, music producing, songwriting, higher education, customer service, human resources, ministry, and community outreach.

If you're curious, my LinkedIn has my complete job history for your personal entertainment. One person's "lack of professional direction in their early twenties" is another's "multi-faceted professional with diverse disciplinary experience." My meta-skill is transforming these experiences into some kind of gold, which is where the term "learning alchemist" comes from.

AI: She uses her wide range of knowledge to cultivate an alchemical experience for personal growth and transformation.

At its core, learning = change. I'm interested in how we (humans) change, for better, worse, or different. I aim to create environments and artifacts that nurture change, whether that is in the art I make or the learning experiences I design.

AI: Lizzy enjoys learning about art, culture, technology and its role in changing our perception of humanity and spirituality.

Hmm, this is one of those sentences that sounds cool but I'm not really sure what it means. Nice try AI. I do spend a great deal of my limited spare time reading about human psychology and spirituality, though.
